In my recent research, I discovered the significant role of dorzolamide in managing ocular surface disease. This medication, commonly known as a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, effectively reduces intraocular pressure, providing relief for those suffering from this condition. Additionally, dorzolamide has been found to improve the ocular surface health by enhancing tear production and stabilizing the tear film. Furthermore, it has shown potential in reducing inflammation, thereby promoting a healthier eye environment. Overall, dorzolamide appears to be a valuable treatment option for individuals dealing with ocular surface disease.
